ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

Radiator paint is a water-based, covering anticorrosive paint for metal, intended for painting directly on rust, without the need for a separate primer. Creates a durable, protective coating, improving appearance and protecting metal surfaces from corrosion.

Especially recommended for radiators – resistant to elevated temperatures (short-term up to approx. 70°C, long-term up to approx. 50°C). After drying, the coating is flexible, does not soften under the influence of heat and maintains very high mechanical resistance.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

⇨ The substrate must be dry, clean, load-bearing, free from dust, grease, dirt, anti-adhesive agents, tar and other contaminants;

⇨ For smooth surfaces, it is recommended to matte with sandpaper to improve adhesion;

⇨ In the case of powder-coated radiators (most ladder, panel, aluminum) – matting is necessary;

⇨ Rusty areas should be mechanically cleaned of loose parts; in hard-to-reach crevices, a RUST CONVERTER type preparation can be additionally used.

DRYING TIME:

- On metal substrate, the paint is dry to the touch after 1 hour (at approx. 20°C and 60% humidity);

- Drying time depends on temperature, humidity, type of substrate and layer thickness;

- Partial hardening: after approx. 12 hours;

- Full hardening: after approx. 48 hours.

METHOD OF USE:

• Clean the substrate, degrease and leave to dry;
• Radiators should be disconnected from the heat source during painting (valves turned off);
• Heating risers should be painted best outside the heating season;
• Old coatings – remove loose fragments, rust deposits, organic dirt, degrease;
• The paint can be applied:

  - with a brush, roller, air or hydrodynamic spray

TECHNICAL DATA:

* Specific gravity: approx. 1.05 kg/l;

* Recommended application temperature: +8°C to +30°C;

* Applying the next layer: after 0.5–1 hour, when the coating is dust-dry;

* Available different gloss levels: high gloss, satin, semi-matte, matte.
