IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light technology. Philips Lumea illuminates hair follicles with gentle light pulses, which stimulates the hair follicle to enter a resting phase. As a result, hairs naturally fall out, and their regrowth is inhibited. Regular repetition of the treatment ensures that the skin remains smooth every day. The hair regrowth prevention treatment is safe and gentle, even when performed on delicate body parts. The Philips Lumea device has been clinically tested and developed in collaboration with dermatologists to enable easy and effective treatments in the comfort of your own home.
