Andi Almqwist is back! When his marriage crashed after 13 years, Andi suddenly found himself alone in a five-room apartment of 150 sqm. The empty, echoing apartment manifested how he felt inside.

For a few autumn and winter months, he stared into the void and into the abyss. When the abyss started staring back, Andi had enough and sat down at the piano and started writing. The result was ten songs about sorrow, loneliness, anxiety, and hate, but also about hope, lust, and inner strength. His motto was to write exactly how he felt during the different writing sessions, without censoring himself, even if he himself was portrayed in a bad light.

By chance, Andi met Mattias \"Mattan\" Nihlén (VED) out in the Malmö night. They both talked music all evening and it was decided that Mattan would produce the new album. When he heard about the large apartment, the choice of recording location was decided. Mattan wanted to capture the very sound of the desolation Andi had felt. Furthermore, he was convinced that the takes would benefit from being recorded on site.

No digital plug-ins have been used. All sound effects are genuine, i.e., recorded with room microphones, run through tube amplifiers or analog guitar pedals. One of the vocal sounds was created by running the voice through a glass didgeridoo (!). Percussion consists of banging on kitchen doors, stair railings, stomping on wooden floors, etc.

Very few cuts have been made in the recordings. Most of it is live takes straight through.

Mattan's comment when listening to the final mix really says it all: \"This is not an album, it's an exorcism\".
