Bobby Batton (Tom Sizemore) is a Mafia player who finds himself in trouble with the mob. He's been caught stealing money from his bosses, and soon after is shot by Mafia hitmen. He survives the hit, but realises it is time to get his family and himself out of danger. He contacts the FBI and agrees to testify against his former colleagues in exchange for entering into the Witness Protection Program. However, his family are none too happy about their new lives, and Bobby lives in fear that the mob will discover their new identities and take revenge.
