Otakar Votocek writes and directs this comedy drama starring Peter O'Toole and Colin Firth. At the height of his fame, a well-known actor called Cesar Valentin (O'Toole) claims to be the author of a book entitled 'Wings of Fame'. But when the book's real writer, Brian Smith (Firth), hears of these claims, he gets his revenge by murdering the famous thespian in front of his adoring fans. But after Brian also dies in an accident, the two foes reunite on an island in the afterlife where they are forced to confront their differing levels of celebrity.
