The 18 crowd of zombie fans is well catered for in the world of videogames. But younger players...? There's an intriguing proposition. Well, The Last Kids on Earth are here to fill the void with The Staff of Doom. Based on the titular cartoon series, The Last Kids on Earth and The Staff of Doom stars Jack, Quint, June and Dirk as they try to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland riddled with zombies. To make matters even worse, there's a nasty piece of work called Malondre, Queen of the Slime Monsters, looking to get hold of the staff to summon Rezzoch the Ancient,�Destructor of�Worlds. It all sounds like bad s, right?? Gameplay is a fun mash-up of hack-'n'-slash antics and tower defence strategy. There's a whole range of zombies, monsters and assorted boss battles for you to go up against, and you can keep upgrading your weapons and skills as you go. Each of the characters has their own set of abilities to master, and you can even bring a pal on board to help. On the tower defence front, players must lay down a series of automated turrets to defend their base, occasionally wading out there themselves to smash up some zombies.
