All vacation-bound family man Chet Ripley (John Candy) wants is to relax and spend some quality time with his family. But when his obnoxious brother-in-law Roman Craig (Dan Aykroyd) shows up unannounced and uninvited with his kooky family in tow, the result is anything but restful.
