Underneath the streets of London there is a life that no-one knows exists. Young executive Richard Mayhew falls into this world after an act of kindness and meets a host of strange characters: The young girl Door whose family has been murdered and she may be next; The Black Friars; An Angel called Islington; Old Bailey and Hammersmith. The BBC series was written by acclaimed comic book writer Neil Gaiman, and created by Gaiman and one time funny man Lenny Henry.
