Dr. Touwen here presents the first detailed account of neural mechanisms and thier developmental course during infancy. He has taken a group of 51 low-risk Dutch infants as his sample, observing their spontaneous behavioural patterns and their responses to specific stimuli. The results of this study should prove an invaluable source of reference to all those concerned with neurological diagnosis and developmental testing procedures in childhood.
