Six-part BBC drama in which superintendent registrar Kate Dickinson (Ashley Jensen) endeavours to juggle both her personal life and her hectic career. As Kate witnesses and conducts anything from marriages to baby naming ceremonies, the changing lives around her begin to leave an impression on her own private affairs, and prompt her to make decisions around her own well-being as well as striking an internal dilemma to help people in need and give guidance outside of her work duties.
