Nietzchka Keene writes and directs this Icelandic historical fantasy drama based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale. After their mother is stoned and burned to death as a witch, sisters Margit (Björk) and Katla (Bryndis Petra Bragadóttir) flee, searching for a place where no one knows them. They find a home with widower Jóhann (Valdimar Örn Flygenring) and his son Jónas (Geirlaug Sunna Thormar), but their mother wasn't the only one with powers and magic can be dangerous. Gudrún Gísladóttir also stars.
