Their music focuses on intricate instrumentation and bold dynamic shifts to subvert their naturally poppy melodic tendencies. Walls of guitar feedback and fuzz interspersed with fingerpicked flourishes help turn "overthinking what you said to the barista while you were looking for change" into an art form. Woozy's duel vocals and off-kilter harmonies are inviting and easy to get lost in throughout Blistered, the bands long awaited full length debut. Kira Stafford and John St. Cyrs voices blend with incredible clarity and unique chemistry as the band effortlessly mix indie rock, old school emo, punk, and slacker pop to create a dynamic listen as heartfelt as it is musically ambitious. Woozy draw influences from a wide range of bands, from their peers (Caddywhompus, Gnarwhal, Ex-Breathers) to artists like Elliott Smith, Duster, The Microphones, Unwound and The Cranberries, amongst many others. The album was recorded by Ross Farbe (Native America, Caddywhompus, etc) at The Living Room Studios in Algiers, LA across the water from the bands home in NOLA.
