Beautiful Chinese urn in genuine hand-painted porcelain

Very beautiful larger Chinese urn with lid in hand-painted, glazed real porcelain. The lid has a small peak. The motifs that adorn the urn and the lid are naively painted marine objects such as fish, shells and shellfish. The urn was made according to ancient Chinese tradition, earlier versions of which may very well have been shipped home to Sweden via the seas in East India Company ships. These objects were highly sought after as wealthy citizens of the time wanted to adorn their homes with something that showed their status as wealthy philatelists.
