Iraq, year 2003. The war is nearing its end, and a force accompanied by CIA agent Rachel King is ordered to investigate what is suspected to be a chemical weapons facility below the Zagros mountain range.

When the scouting party arrives, they are ambushed by a local patrol led by Sergeant Salim Othman.

During the battle, an earthquake creates a hole in the ground, causing everyone to fall into the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple. Something sinister is being brought to life beneath the Arabian desert sands, and mysterious, brutal creatures from a bygone era now have new prey to sink their teeth into.

In order to get out of the underground labyrinth and escape the horrific threat, the force must both make terrible discoveries and make seemingly impossible decisions.

Does each put their own survival first, or do they look beyond their fears and differences and fight together?
