Facing an empty and uncertain future following his retirement and his daughter's wedding, Spiros sets out from the north to the south of Greece in search of a warm spring climate for his colony of bees, which he carries in the back of his lorry. Along the way he meets a girl hitchhiker (Nadia Mourouzi), and a relationship of sorts develops between the two that ultimately serves only to emphasise Spiros's growing sense of loneliness and alienation.
