Finding refuge in an isolated croft where the widowed Morag (Anna Hutchison) lives with her children, Robert is nursed back to health and hidden from those who wish to profit from his capture. As winter passes Robert decides to challenge the Scottish noblemen who betrayed him and attempts to unite Scotland and fight for independence from England.
