In 1979, army private Rudy Spruance (Biggs) is mistakenly posted to an obscure and isolated military hospital in the Arctic, which he soon discovers does not officially exist. Presided over by the deranged Colonel Woolwrap (Jeremy Northam) and his secret lover Sergeant Teal (Natascha McElhone), the hospital is actually a hiding place for one of the army's most important secrets.
