Jordan O'Neil (Demi Moore) must face prejudice and harassment when she is selected to become the first female US Navy SEAL. In particular, Jordan encounters resentment from Master Chief Urgayle (Viggo Mortensen), her commanding officer. Although she gradually overcomes resistance from her male fellows, Jordan becomes the victim of a smear campaign in the press.
