LEGO 71043 Hogwarts-slottet

The LEGO Hogwarts Castle (HOG) is an impressive and immersive LEGO experience. The building techniques are varied and surprisingly low in repetitiveness. The scale of HOG is Micro figures, which is no issue for me personally. Final build stands beautiful with loads of cool and smart details. Add led lights to the interior of the HOG main buildings in order to create and spectate a stunning scenario with multicolored lighting from window openings. Actually, I’d suggest LEGO developers to include lighting design into future sets - lighting (Shadows) is the number one thing to consider and integrate into all grand designs/architecture. Admittedly I’m not a fan of Harry Potter (It’s fine I guess 🫣😛) but the HOG LEGO set receives my highest recommendations. It’s a beautiful final model and very good fun to build!

I recently build this set and I absolutely loved it. The details are fantastic, and I believe you can find elements from all of the books. However, I have two problems with the set which is the reason why I only gives this four and not five stars. First, the instructions can be a bit tideous. The added pieces are not Highlighted (as it is in other sets) and it can be very difficult to spot where the pieces should go. Especially around the rockworks at the base. Second, and this is my biggest issue, the fact that there is almost no printed pieces, but lots of lots of stickers feels a bit cheap. I know that the price would increase, but I think it is worth it since this is already a multi 100$ set. Other than that, I can only recommend this set, and I wish that LEGO will do other microbuild stile Harry Potter sets to go along with it.

This set I’ve been looking at for 2 years now and finally bought it. It’s been worth every penny!! The build was challenging and had new pieces and old ones put together in magical new ways. I never cease to be amazed by the inginuity of Lego. Definitely a “one to build”! Funny as well with the details of fx the legendary 2x4 red brick! Looking forward to the model scaled to minifigures!!

Jeg har længe overvejet at købe dette sæt, men er kommet frem til at jeg ikke vil alligevel, fordi det er lavet i mini-skala, så de almindelig mini-figurer ikke passer ind. Det gør bare at det ikke passer ind sammen med f.eks. Hogwarts-expressen som jeg allerede har og leger med, sammen med mine børn. Legeværdien bliver ringe. Hvis der bliver lavet en udgave der passer sammen med almindelig minifigurer, så er jeg klar, uanset om det bliver et monstrøst stort sæt eller delt op i flere sæt.
