Teenager Holly Hamilton (Hilary Duff) is tired of moving every time her single mum Jean (Heather Locklear) has another relationship crisis. To distract her from her latest bad choice, Holly conceives the perfect plan for the perfect man... an imaginary secret admirer who will romance Jean and boost her shaky self-esteem. However, when the virtual relationship takes off, Holly finds herself having to produce the suitor, borrowing her friend's charming and handsome uncle (Chris North) as the face behind the notes and gifts.
Jessica Alba (television's Dark Angel) stars as Honey Daniels, a dancer and choreographer working as a bartender and record store clerk until she gets that one big break. When she finally succeeds, it feels too good to be true. And sadly, it is...until Honey gets a new dream. Fuelled by the exuberant energy of a group of neighbourhood kids, Honey comes back to the sheer joy of letting it all out on the dance floor.
